Penang, May 16, 2023 (Tuesday) - We have successfully organised the 1st veterinary ultrasound workshop of FY2023, titled "Basic Abdominal and Ultrasound Workshop. The workshop was aimed at providing training and hands-on experience to vet doctors who wish to diagnose and evaluate the conditions of our furry companions through non-invasive and painless way. 22 vet doctors from Northern region attended this workshop.
The workshop was conducted by Dr. Lim May Lyn, who obtained her DVM (UPM) in 2012 and completed her MVM (UPM) in 2014. She has 11 years of working experience in the small animal industry and founded Pet Wellness Veterinary Clinic in 2015.
The workshop begins with an introduction to the ultrasound machine and probes, an abdominal ultrasonographic examination, and an ultrasound exam of the urinary bladder. Four (4) ultrasound stations were set up during the workshop using the EDAN Acclarix AX3 Vet Ultrasound, respectively.
Our team of clinical apps demonstrated the method of performing ultrasound imaging first before handing it over to participants to experience using the machines themselves.
