Basic Water Analysis/Wastewater

Wastewater Analysis Syllabus

This workshop is designed to teach proper analytical techniques in two major areas associated with the measurement of non-potable/wastewater. These areas are colorimetric chemistry, C.O.D and B.O.D. Explanation and examples of calculations for BOD by the dilution and respirometric methods will be given. The course objectives will meet by presenting test theory, incorporating practical applications of analytical procedures, and "hands on" experience with each test and instrument. Students are required to analyze standard solutions as well as water samples with known values.
