Phycocyanin and Phycoerythrin Sensors for Freshwater and Marine Applications

Interest in blue-green algae monitoring is growing due to the problems some species can present. Collect data on normal levels and be prepared for possible bloom events with YSI's freshwater 6131 Phycocyanin and marine 6132 Phycoerythrin Blue-Green Algae sensors.

Blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) can produce toxins and compounds that deteriorate drinking water quality. They may also represent the most abundant primary producer in ecosystem studies.
This sensor is available for use on the following sondes:
