Accurate, in situ Turbidity Measurement
The YSI 6136 is a fouling-resistant, wiped sensor designed to seamlessly integrate - using no external interface hardware - with all YSI sondes that contain an optical port. The probe provides accurate, in situ measurement of turbidity in fresh, brackish, and sea water, and features an improved mechanical self-wiping capability for long-term monitoring, which helps ensure proper turbidity measurements.
Extensive empirical field and laboratory tests performed by YSI and independent agencies in Alpha and Beta studies document close agreement between in situ measurements made with the YSI 6136 turbidity sensor and data from the Hach 2100AN, a laboratory instrument recognized as the standard for turbidity measurement.
The sensor is available for use on the following sondes:
Range: 0 to 1000 NTU
Resolution: 0.1 NTU
Accuracy: ±2% of reading or 0.3 NTU, whichever is greater in YSI AMCO-AEPA Polymer Standards
Depth: 200 ft, 60 m
You can rely on the accuracy and reliability of YSI's sensor technology - the performance of the 6136 sensor has been ET
